- At the school where I work, we make connection to the local
- university server - and then to the web - using a pc with an internal
- Boca 14.4 modem. When I say "make connection", I mean only under strange
- circumstances.
-
- We have used numerous init. strings and numerous login scripts to
- find that all are successful during the first attempt after making and
- saving any script edit. Subsequent attempts fail to complete login until
- we edit and save the script agian.
-
- Failure occurs in one of two forms: 1.) the modem does not sense
- the connection and re-dials, effectively killing the connection, or 2.)
- the script stops just after the password propmt is printed onsceen.
-
- We're baffled! Does anyone have any ideas?
-

- TIA, Alan
