  14. At the school where I work, we make connection to the local 
  15. university server - and then to the web - using a pc with an internal 
  16. Boca 14.4 modem.  When I say "make connection", I mean only under strange 
  17. circumstances.

  19.     We have used numerous init. strings and numerous login scripts to 
  20. find that all are successful during the first attempt after making and 
  21. saving any script edit. Subsequent attempts fail to complete login until 
  22. we edit and save the script agian.

  24.     Failure occurs in one of two forms: 1.) the modem does not sense 
  25. the connection and re-dials, effectively killing the connection, or 2.) 
  26. the script stops just after the password propmt is printed onsceen.

  28.     We're baffled!  Does anyone have any ideas?
